About Us:

The Centre for Sustainable Agriculture (CSA) (https://csa-india.org/ ) was established in
2004 with the goal of promoting sustainable food systems that are ecologically,
economically, and socially viable. CSA implemented experimental approaches, including
innovative practices, processes, and institutions, to build resilience against climate and
market risks for farmer households and the primary work of CSA is spread across Andhra
Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra and Punjab states.
Job Description: The Agriculture expert will be
 Provide expert advice on regenerative agricultural practices specific to rice
production, including soil health management, water conservation, crop rotation, and
integrated pest management.
 Collect, compile, analyze, and report data as per project requirements, ensuring
timely and accurate documentation.
 Develop and deliver training programs for farmers on regenerative agriculture
techniques, including workshops, demonstrations, and hands-on field sessions.
 Work closely with farmers to build their capacity in adopting and implementing
regenerative practices, addressing their specific needs and challenges.
 Establish demonstration plots and monitor and evaluate to showcase the
effectiveness of regenerative practices in rice production.
 Participate in the design and implementation of research projects to generate
evidence- based recommendations for improving rice production sustainability.
 Execute the activities as per the project plans, for reaching deliverables.
 Provide technical guidance and support to project team members and farmers
involved in the project.
 Possess a deep understanding of regenerative agricultural practices, particularly in
the context of rice production.
 Involve in review meetings, action research, workshops and consultations at the
district and state level.

 Monitor Team member work ,Guide team members in Reaching project deliverables
smoothly.
 Involve and conduct weekly, monthly, review meeting with team and head office
meetings
 Any additional works assigned by the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile:
1. Candidate having a Bachelor’s/Master degree in Agriculture/ with at least 2 yrs of
experience in implementing the projects.
2. Extensive experience in agricultural extension, advisory services, or research, with a
focus on regenerative agriculture
3. In-depth knowledge of rice cultivation practices and the agronomic principles
underlying regenerative agriculture.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and
recommend evidence-based solutions.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage
effectively with farmers, project partners, and other stakeholders.
6. Willingness to travel frequently within the project area and work in rural
communities.
7. Candidate should possess good writing skills and project management skills well
versed with MS Office; knowledge of Gantt charts, business plan development,
indicator preparation, basic data analysis, etc.
8. Candidate should be self-driven in bringing in new ideas.
9. Candidates with experience of working in Telangana will be preferred.
10. Languages: Fluency in English and Telugu, both written and spoken. Proficiency in
local languages (Telugu) is highly desirable.
